Abby & I loaded up the boys on Saturday for some fall pictures....it's always my favorite time of year to photograph them!

This slideshow of pictures are so cool! They were all taken by Aunt Abby on....drum roll please.... her IPHONE! I can hardly believe a phone took such cool looking pictures...of course, you have to have "cool" kids to get "cool" pictures!

I can't wait to see how the pictures from my camera will turn out...I just have to locate where my cord is so that I can import them into the computer!!! so stay tuned!

yes, i will agree...i've been bad...i haven't blogged in forever...it's like our life has stopped. haha...i promise i will get back on here soon and update with some pictures of what we've been up to. I've got some photo's of Ty's soccer season, last day of preschool & more...

the kiddo's are really growing. i swear Ty must be hitting a grow spurt...he used to eat like a bird and now he is finishing his plate and then finishing ike's plate. i wonder if he'll be as tall as zach? Ike has made lots of new friends at story-time at the library. he loves playing with others! Kane is SO BIG! he's walking & talking...baby talk that is. He waves & claps and says hi & bye-bye, momma & dada! I know he is overdue for his first hair cut...but I just can't imagine cutting those cute blonde curls! He is like my little abby of the family, blonde hair & blue eyes. He is such a loveable baby...he loves giving hugs & kisses!

My Front Porch Looking In.....

You know that country song...On my front porch looking in...just heard it...decided to post a few pics I found on inspiration for redoing my enclosed front porch! Zach finished some of the walls that needed replaced out there...so now it is ready for me to make my mark on it...I never really know what to "call" my sense of style/decorating...I wonder what they would call it on those designer shows...because I'm somewhat tradition, somewhat eclectic, somewhat shabby chic, somewhat retro, somewhat craftsman...I like a mix - but I know what I like...

Anyways for those of you that don't know we've be renovating and redecorating our home for the last 4 years we have lived in it! It's been a lot of work, but thank heavens I married quite the handy man! If there is something Zach doesn't know how to do or has never done before he just gets in there and figures it out! I love that about him! Of course when you do the work yourself and on a tight budget work takes longer - but that's the way to do it...little by little it will all come together...But poor Zach's honey-do-list is always growing...One project gets done or halfway done for that matter - and I'm seeing the next thing!! *Zach you're the best!! thank you*

Anyway...I was online searching for backslashes for my kitchen (zach put in new cabinets and counters, etc...) I am pretty sure I want a brick one!! there was an old brick chimney that we found when we tore down a wall...so the chimney is in my kitchen...I love it...i thought the backsplash in brick would tie it together...anyway i found some pictures of what I am wanting my backsplash to look like...and i came across some more photo's for other ideas for my house!! I thought I would share some of my ideas for my enclosed front porch...i've been saying i need a coat tree! of course this won't take up my whole porch...but just right when you come in the front door!!

These pictures are overdue...Kane is enjoying his first meal from a spoon! - Rice Cereal - He loved it and it came so natural to him! I was thinking it might be neat to blow up a picture of Ty, Ike & Kane at this age in their highchair eating to hang in the kitchen! I thought that might be cute!

Halloween 2009

This year Ty decided he wanted to be a Pitcrew for Lightning McQueen from Disney Cars! Aunt Katie & Uncle Neal had already got him the outfit for his birthday, so we only need a few more accessories to complete the costume. Ike wanted to be Dr. E! (that is what he calls his pediatrician). Grandma Jane had purchased a scrub set with lab coat awhile ago from a scrub show at the hospital so we just added some accessories from his doctor kit and he was ready to go! We dressed Kane as a baby chick! Two weeks before Halloween the town had the annual fall party for the kids...they have a weenie roast, hayride, costume contest, etc... Kane won first place in the contest! he won a $10.00 McDonalds gift card! Ike actually came in second and won a $5.00 gift card...Third place went to a cute little football player named Eli. On Halloween we had a fire in the woodstove and decorated the boys little table like their own little halloween party! we took them around to a few houses and then came home and pigged out on pizza and yoohoo's! The boys then enjoyed handing out candy to the trick or treaters! What Fun!

We took advantage of the beautiful day on Saturday to get the boys out to play and to take some photos while the fall leaves were still plentiful! The boys had fun playing! My mom had bought these big brother shirts for ty and ike and the little brother shirt for kane as a gift when kane was born...well, i finally put them all in their shirts for a photo shoot...here is a preview of some of our fall photo's!

"Hey Girl, look, me no tube!"

Ike was quite the ladies man on this trip. It was hilarious to watch him. At the park he instantly found a little girl to run around holding hands with...the most hilarious thing was we were all swimming at our condo pool...ty and ike had been wearing there fishing inner tubes when ike decided to go down to the deep end where two girls were playing...i think they were in 2nd grade...anyways ike walks up to the girls and says hey girl, look, me no tube!" and points at himself and jumps into the pool. He thought he was so big and cool and was showing off to those girls!

Dad prepared alot of food for us all when we were on the trip! He is quite the cook! We kept our "mess" of fish we caught on the fishing trip! Zach and I prepared the fish we grilled about 1/3 of the fish and fried the rest! It was quite tasty!
Here is another slide-show pics from our trip to beautiful Sanibel Island! The weather was great...actually I am use to it raining every day in the summer on Sanibel...but this trip was different...it hardly rained during our trip. I can't wait to go back...I'm already eager to go! :)

Sanibel Island Trip - July 2009

Here is a start to some of the updating I've been promising! In July, just 3 months after Kane was born, we were heading down to Sanibel Island - "Paradise" of Florida! We went as a "big" family...14 of us headed south! Abby & Brandon joined Zach & I and our 3 boys - we drove my new town & country - and it made a great traveling vehicle...and we actually had plenty of room! We had a good time relaxing and spening time with family! The boys loved the ocean & the pool! Zach actually saw a real aligator this year! Every time we have been to the island Zach has been searching out the gators...and this year there really was one in the pond by the pool. We actually saw tons of wildlife! A huge iguana walked right in front of me while we were visiting the ducks & birds at the periwinkle campground! I just love Sanibel - life actually seems to slow down there! We of course had to go to Cheeburger Cheeburger - i've never been down there w/o going...Brandon, Neal & Zach decided to eat the 1 pounders!! They were huge burgers and topped with all kinds of stuff...they all managed to wolf them down and still had room for fries & onion rings! The shells were plentiful this year (i mean Sanibel is known for "shelling" but this year there were even more!) My dad chartered a fishing boat for the guys one day! There was an extra spot on the boat so they invited me to go, I think they were wondering if they made a mistake when I was catching all the fish! :) Katie & Abby watched all 3 of my boys so I could have a "fishing" break! It was so much fun! I caught all kinds of fish and just kept getting braver and braver as they day went on. These fish were a lot different then the blue gill, bass and catfish that I am used to! I even caught a shark...and held it in my hands! It was awesome...I had some blood on my shirt after that one! It was a nice vacation! I really enjoyed watching the boys play! They loved spending time with papa and of course cousin Clayton!

Wow! It's been about 2 months! I have got to get you all caught up on everything that has been going on. That will take some time...so I will try and fill you all in quickly - the hopefully I can get back on a routine and start posting some pictures for you all.
If you've been wondering why I haven't posted, I don't have an exact reason. Although my life has seemed to be a little busier lately...I may have already said this before but going from 1 to 2 kids was nothing...but 2 to 3 seems more hectic at times. Not that I am complaining! I wouldn't trade it for the world! I am sure I am not the only mother of 3 that thinks that...especially with 3 kids 4 and under. I have also taken on a few things of my own...if you haven't heard.
Besides being mom all day I am still working at the post office on Saturday mornings and as needed as well as baking deserts for the local cafe here in town and helping out on Fridays at the Cafe.
The baking has been fun! I have always enjoyed cooking but never knew I loved to bake as much as I do. About 2 years ago I decided that I wanted to learn to bake a pie, so before thanksgiving my Mother-in-law Jane, who is quite the baker, taught me how to make a pie...from start to finish...we baked a ton of pies that day...I will have to find the picture my Aunt Kay took of me at Thanksgiving where I brought all of the pies...apple, cherry, chocolate, pumpkin I can't remember what all I brought...I need to find the picture! I find baking and cooking as being very relaxing to me! In fact, I just pulled an apple pie out of the oven this morning and now I have a banana nut bread in the oven! YUM! I bet you're thinking...how can she lose her baby weight with all of those deserts around...haha...well that's not the culprit, because the majority of my baked goods go to the cafe, and occasionaly I make one for home (so Zach doesn't feel deprived!) The banana bread is for this weekend - we are having abby's bachelorette party, and I am making some yummy stuff for a breakfast for all the girls.
My mixer gave up on me last week...and believe me mixers are an investment. So Jane surprised me with a new mixer! and I love it, you should have seen my face when we brought it home and got it set up...Zach said "oh great, I will never live up to that!" hah! This mixer is not only functional but it is beautiful! I love it! It is the Kitchenaid Professional 600 in Empire Red! it has a 575 watt motor and can hold 14 cups of flour at once!! This might not mean much to all of you...but to me it is better than diamonds, a car just about anything! I love it! we set it up last night and i have already made 4 pie crusts in it, banana bread and then I am moving on to homemade noodles! Thanks so much Jane! I couldn't be happier!
So besides the baking keeping me busy I have also take up preserving foods...canning and freezing!! Now you might have seen on here before where I made my own strawberry jam and salsa...but this year I have taken it to new heights! I have officially used a pressure canner, not just the easy water bath canner! This year we picked a few 5 galloon buckets of green beans (free I might add from a neighbor that grew them...we picked them for him first and then took what we wanted) I canned those green beans - so now all winter long when you are eating those sodium packed green beans from the grocery I will be eating freshly preserved beans...haha...not to rub it in your face or anything!! I had to buy a new metal shelf to put in our basement to hold all of my canned goods... I have canned green beans, mild salsa, hot salsa, pasta sauce, pizza sauce, red jalepeno jelly, green jalepeno jelly as well as frozen 40 quarts of fresh corn, some quarts of green beans, homemade applesauce...and i have been making at least 1 soup a week for lunch or dinner, a big batch, and then freezing the remaining in individual quart sized bags...perfect for any meal...so far I have garden vegetable, french onion, vegetable beef, chicken fahita, and chili and right now i have homemade chicken noodle in the crockpot cooing up for dinner and then to freeze! It has been so fun and enjoyable for me...I told Zach it will sure make me appreciate my food knowing exactly what it took to get it to each point! From the picking to preparing to cooking and then to preserving! I have also been making homemade baby food for Kane! Green Beans, carrots, zuchinni, sweet potatoes, applesauce, all that good stuff - and still more to go...for him i have been steaming everything and then pureeing it and then freezing in ice cube trays...perfect serving sizes! It just doesn't get much better than that! Not to mention we have all the farm fresh organic eggs we could ever want right in our backyard! We are getting about 13 or more fresh eggs a day~ WOW~ there is nothing quite like a fresh egg!
The boys also get to learn so much. They enjoy helping me pick the fruit and veggies and visiting the different farmers markets around the area! Who would have guessed living in the middle of no where could be so amazing!

well i should get back to the kitchen! the oven just went off so i need to pull that warm banana nut bread out of the oven! It smells so good! hope everyone is doing well...i will try to update with pictures ASAP

so i am sitting at my desk...ty just came in with a box of rice krispy treats. i opened one for ty and one for ike...they are red white and blue for 4th of july...ty got excited when he saw all the colors. "wow, red, my favorite color, blue, ike's favorite color!" his voice was kind of scratchy, he then said "mom, my voice doesn't sound very loud, I'm gonna have to get a speak-up-inator!" So i asked ty what a speakupinator is...this is what he said.

Kane is really starting to show his personality! I love when he coos and grins. Ty and Ike are also enjoying this stage. Kane is a happy baby - unless he is hungry or has a dirty diaper! I know that is true of most babies but the minute Kane dirties his diaper he is screamin' and when he is hungry he is hungry and their is nothing else you can do to calm him but feed him!

Ty & Ike were really excited for the fishing tournament at Zach's work. Last year Ty won first place in pan fish. He had caught a bluegill that won him the prize.
this year we headed over to the power plant after i got off work. so some people had been fishing all morning by the time we got there. but that didn't stop us. zach's grandfather (that retired from the plant) always makes bbq out there in this huge cooker and it is a fishing tournament for employees and their families.
After lunch the boys had a couple hours to toss in their lines before all the fish had to be weighed in. Ty's very first cast caught him a huge bass (the biggest i've ever seen someone catch!) It was 16 inches!

Ike won third place in cat fish. He won a game of yard darts.
They got to choose their prize.
we had such a wonderful time. Kane was very good riding in his little kangaroo pouch. We all love being out doors.

zachs last strech of night shift provided the boys and i a chance to visit my family in indy for a few days.
on tuesday we picked up aunt abby and headed down town to meet my dad & kathy for lunch. we went to the city market. so cool. like a giant food court all sorts of places to each. we ate at the market. they had all kinds of produce, a deli and more. it was a great healthy alternative to some of the places and was really yummy! the roasted vegetable sandwich was awesome. in fact it may have been the first time i have had eggplant that i know of. and since then i have bought eggplant and roasted it myself! Yum! i love roasted veggies. the boys got a tour of my dads office and got to meet lots of people - he is in a new office since last time we visited.

then ab, the boys & i headed off to the zoo! we had so much fun. we took the train ride of course - my boys hardly know a trip to the zoo without riding the train. we saw the elephant show - ty rode the pony and the horse - ike rode the pony twice - they took two rides on the carousel - we got to go in with the goats and pet them - i've never done that before in all my trips to the zoo. ike kept thinking one of the goats that was missing its horns was a pony. he kept saying "ride that one!" :)

after the zoo we headed back to papa's- we all took a trip to wally world (papa needed some veggies for our dinner) ty and ike picked out snacks and juice boxes for papa to buy. dad made us some yummy dinner - cashew chicken - but way better than you would get as chinese takeout!

then we headed to aunt katie and uncle neals new homestead! it is really nice! so much room! the boys had fun playing with cousin clayton - they all tried out kate and neals new bath tub. i enjoyed my time visiting with katie. and of course we got to see nana! mom came over to katies so we could visit with her too and i didn't have to run everywhere why we were in town. katie had to get a hair cut wednesday morning so i had the luxury of watching my three and kate's one. Four boys under 4! haha! actually they were all rather good. We stayed a couple nights at katies house.
On thursday we met nana and aunt abby at target for a little shopping! what's a trip to indy without shopping at target? :) then off to babies r us. then down to the court to meet papa. (he had hearings that day!) we had dinner with papa and then stayed the night there. dad & kathy both went in late to work the next day so they could hang with us a little while longer. then we headed back southwest.

ok so on top of all of this mom stuff i am attempting to lose all my baby weight! from all 3 kids! it seems like a little extra just hung on after each of them! i am ready to shed the extra pounds! ha! So i have been eating really healthy and we've made some yummy meals - because as your probably know I love to cook and experiment with new recipes! so my "diet" low fat & high fiber (weight watchers) haha its not really a diet just a healthy way to eat for the rest of life. Anyways i have fun coming up with new recipes! and you can't forget the fresh herbs from my herb garden!

this car wash was a great purchase last summer. the boys have a blast running all of their vehicles through the wash. and they always make sure to get the "tire shine" hah! It just blows up and the hose connects to it. it has parts that hang and spin and is like going through a mini car wash!

They say boys will be boys...always playing in the dirt and mud! It seems like Ike always looks like a mess in every picture I take. But if you go through all of the pictures when I was a little kid I too always have a mess on my face...So I guess Ike is just taking after him mom.

Strawberry Picking in 09!

Memorial day weekend the boys, grandma jane & I went on our annual strawberry picking day. Just like last year Ike enjoyed eating the berries. Ty loved playing in the dirt. Kane was great, mostly sitting in the air conditioned car! After we picked our berries we stopped at the aparagus farm...we bought 11 pounds of aparagus! We all love asparagus and this stuff is good! You can't get it this fresh at a grocery store! That's another reason I appreciate living in the country...fresh produce basically surrounds us - and you get great deals when you buy from the local farmer!

I'll admit it...I've been bad at updating you all! My camera is full of fun pictures as we've been making lots of memories! Stayed tuned I will be getting all of these added to the site so I can get on top of this!

quick update:
Kane is getting big! already 2 months old now! Starting to smile & coo! I love this stage. He gets happy when I sing to him - any song- I am glad someone appreciates my singing!
Ty loves to be outside! He has gotten really good at pedaling his big boy bike. He got a flat tire the other day and zach took him in the garage to "work on" his bike. zach explained how everything works and they went to wal-mart and got a new tube and fixed it all up.
Ike's vocab is getting better and better and easier to understand. He is like Ty's parrot reapeating everything Ty says. He loves to go on the 4 wheeler -

Kane's 1st "real" bath!

Kane had his first real bath Tuesday 5/19 and loved it. He was so relaxed in the water - Until he tipped his head over and got a little in his eye...then he wasn't so sure of it! He really cried when I took him out and wrapped him up in his towel. He is growing so fast. I think he looks a lot like Ty! I will have to pull out a picture of Ty and Ike at the same age to compare!

Trip to Indy!

We went up to Indy the first weekend in May to visit! We had a great time! On Friday night we stayed at the Sheraton at Keystone at the Crossing - They boys love when we get hotel rooms because they basically get to do whatever they want! Eating in bed, jumping in beds we just all have a blast!

Molly, Jaime and baby George came to visit us at the hotel as well as Aunt Abby and Uncle Brandon! We were so excited to meet George! Kane & George are just 3 days apart. My cousin Molly and I are just 8 months apart and the best of friends...we were so excited to both be expecting little boys together!

Saturday morning we were planning to do a little shopping and then we were suppose to pick up my Grandma Thurston and then head to my dads house for a cookout celebrating Abby's graduation. On our way out of the hotel though our plans had to change as Ty took a fall from the curb. He was rolling his own little suitcase when he fell so instead of putting his hands out to catch himself he caught himself with his chin. As soon as I lifted him up from the concrete blood was just gushing everywhere! He has a new button up shirt of that I immediately took off of him and applied it to his wound to help control the bleeding. Zach loaded the other two boys up into the car while Ty and I headed into the hotel to as for an ice pack and gauze. The amount of blood coming from his chin was crazy! It was just soaking through that shirt and was running down my arms. Ty was worried about all the blood on me and his shirt. He didn't know how we were going to clean it up. So instead of shopping we headed over to St. Vincent where Ty had 3 stitches put in his chin. It took 4 people to hold him down while the doc stitched him up!

Then we headed over to my dads house for a great meal and some quality family time!

On Saturday evening we had plans to go on the pizza train with nana! The boys had been talking about this for weeks and were so excited! The train departs from forest park in Noblesville and takes you to Tipton for dinner at the pizza king or pizza shack and then back to noblesville. It seemed pretty cool, but unfortunately while we were sitting on the train waiting to depart the conductor came back to tell us that the power was completely out in Tipton and there would be no where to eat! So we had to get off the train! But we all went back to nana's and got pizza there and played. It was fun to be with the family!

Kane's 2 week stats

Kane had his appointment with his pediatrician yesterday. He weighed in a 8 lbs 3 oz and was 22 inches! Everything checked out great! He is healthy, thriving & eating - he was 7 lbs 10 oz when we left the hospital. I am glad to know he is gaining weight. With nursing you can't be sure how much they are actually eating.

Aunt Abby came to visit on Friday. The first thing Ike did when he woke up was look out his bedroom window and said "Abby come!" Ike called Abby and she hadn't left yet, so for about 2 hours (the time is took her to get to our house) all he and Ty could talk about was that Aunt Abby was coming! The were so excited when she finally arrived. They got to play inside and outside with Abby. It was a really nice day out. That evening Abby and I took the boys for haircuts. You can tell by the pictures that they were in desperate need of a cut! (I commented that I should probably learn to cut hair - all these boys and we'll be cutting hair all the time!) The boys were disappointed when it was time for Abby to go home. They are already talking about when we are going to go to Abby's house. It won't be much longer and Abs will be graduating from Butler! We are so proud of her and can't wait to come up to celebrate her big day!

Kane Zachariah Thompson

On Thursday, April 16, 2009 at 6:46 p.m. we were blessed with a healthy baby boy! Kane Zachariah Thompson weighed in at 8 lbs even and 21 inches long! (Ty was 7-6 and 21.5" and Ike was 7-9 19.5") So it's true they just keep getting bigger! :) Another great delivery - I was considering not having an epidural this time around but around 4:30 p.m. decided well I might as well get it...because I would hate for it to hurt any worse and at that point not be able to have something! :) Zach's dad called his cell phone at 6:38 p.m. and Zach said he would have to call him back because we were getting ready to start pushing and then just 8 minutes later we had him in our arms! The cord was wrapped around his neck when he was delivered - that is why he appears so purple and swollen. When they handed him to me I didn't know that he had been tangled up and I just kept saying to the nurse he looked so purple! After his first bath the nurse said he might have some slight bruising because of the cord. It's already gone! It was hard for Zach & I to decide on his name (especially since we've had 3 boys with in 4 years!) We went into the hospital with a "short list" of names that we really liked! I was hoping he would come out looking like one of the names...Ty and Ike were already calling him baby Kane and they can both say it! Kane - is Irish meaning little battler (I really wanted a name with an Irish origin) and in fact he was a battler on his way out! We choose Zachariah for the middle name (Zach's real name) so far all of our childrens middle names have been chosen for family names. I like it that way. Kane is doing great and is already growing! I feel so blessed. I love being a mom!

We've Gone Country!

Well, I have officially "Gone Country!" This spring Zach decided he was ready to raise some baby chicks - so we all headed to rural king to pick out our chicks. We got a wide variety of chickens so we will have a variety of eggs. Different types of chickens are known for what kind of eggs they lay. They had been staying in the garage under their heat lamp. Zach has been working on revamping our chicken coop - which we previously used to store firewood. He has since moved the chickens out to their new home...they are getting sooo big - I will have to take more pictures to post.

Ike was so excited for his 2nd birthday party that I couldn't get him to take a nap! I typically have no trouble getting him down but the boys just had too much energy and couldn't await for our family to arrive! Ike had a lot of fun at the party and in the end was so tired that he fell asleep in the middle of eating a cupcake. He fell asleep before they even broke open the Elmo pinata! I guess we will have to do that another day!

Ike officially turned two years old yesterday! We cannot believe how fast time has gone. Since Zach had to work this weekend we are celebrating with our families next weekend but we couldn't pass up on a special birthday dinner, cake, ice cream and presents for Ike. I am sure he was a little confused because he has been talking about his "Elmo" birthday for a few months now! That will be next weekend complete with an elmo cake as he requested!

WOW! We got a lot of snow these last couple of days. This morning when the boys woke up they were so excited to look out the window at the snow covered road. They were begging to play in the snow yesterday but unfortunately it was sleeting most of the day so I didn't think it was a good idea, however, i promised them they would get to go out and play today when Daddy got home from work. In the morning I stepped off the back porch with a tape measure to measure the snow. Just off the back porch there was 8 inches - (I can't imagine what it would have been if we wouldn't have had all the ice yesterday to pack down what had already accumulated. I then measure the boys legs...8 inches was up to the middle of Ike's thighs and at Ty's Knees. I could only imagine how hard it would be for them to try and walk in the snow. I got Ty bundled up first and as soon as Zach pulled in the driveway Ty went running outside. He was diving face first. He went up in his play set and crawled through the tunnel and then went down his slide which was completely snow covered. He loved it! I then got Ike and I bundled and we all headed out. While Zach shoveled the walkways i pulled the boys in their sled and then Zach got out his 4wheeler, we all hopped on and went for a ride around town - it seemed like everyone was out on their 4wheelers. We took the boys over to the cemetery and they went sledding. Their was a perfect hill for them. Zach try to sled down first to show Ty and Ike but there was so much snow that he didn't really go anywhere - he just smashed it down. We all had a wonderful time!

Finally we had a little snow acumulation! The boys were so excited to get out and play! We ran to walmart and got Ty some boots and a sled. The boys really enjoyed me pulling them in their sled and letting the slide down the little hill in our front yard.

Cutting Firewood

The boys were excited to go "cut" firewood with Daddy! They each brought their chainsaw and had a lot of fun. Ty's only comment was that next year Santa was going to have to bring him a chainsaw that REALLY CUTS!

Well we had our ultra sound yesterday - the weather was nasty, the roads very icy - but we just couldn't wait to find out what we were having so we made the trip to Terre Haute for our Doctor appointment. The four of us went; Zach, Ty, Ike & I. The boys couldn't wait to see their baby brother/sister! When the tech told us she saw "boys parts" and Zach told Ty is was another baby brother Ty looked at the tech and said "uh! it's suppose to be a baby sister!" We all just laughed! It was in a way no surprise to me that I was having a boy! although I let myself look at the girl stuff this time I still in the back of my head thought it may be a boy. Our doctor looks over the pictures from the ultrasound with us, he said "everything is growing normally & the baby is healthy except"...and the he just starts laughing... "it's a boy!" He just couldn't stop laughing! Zach told him that he thinks he just doesn't have any girl in him...he claims "he's all man!" I told Zach, maybe this is God's way of telling us we shouldn't be done having children! haha! Because we had said that if we were having a girl then this would most likely be the last. So I think God said give those two another boy - so they will try again! :) Zach said "Jen, I don't think God is that funny!" We had told our doctor before that we wanted 4 or 5 - so Zach told him..."well it looks like I might have to have 5." The Doctor said "you know who's fault this is and pointed to Zach!" The doctor really got a kick out of the three boys thing!

How exciting for Ty & Ike to be getting a little brother! We've almost got ourselves a starting lineup! I am sure the fights won't be as petty as they were with a family of just girls! They will probably just duke it out and be done with it. I am thinking about 14 or 15 years from now - I will have 3 boys in high school - a freshman, junior & senior! It will probably be a crazy, yet super fun time in my life, let's just hope they don't cause too much trouble.

I was shopping at Wal-Mart the other day and an old couple complemented me on how good my boys were acting! I told her they aren't always this good. :) Anyway they were talking to Ty & Ike telling them how cute they were - somehow it came up that I was expecting again - I said "maybe it will be a girl this time" she said "and if it's not you will get your daughters the easy way!" That has just stuck with me. Even if I end up with all boys hopefully I get some great daughters in law!! :)

Sneak Peak! Fall Photo's!

Since we were suppose to get big storms yesterday & today we decided to get the boys out in the leaves for some photo opts this fall! Zach was ready to get the leaves out of the yard anyway! Ty & Ike had so much fun playing in the leaves. In fact I took 196 pictures of the boys! After we were done taking pictures Ty stayed out with Zach to help him work in the yard! Zach said Ty really was a big help...he just needed a bigger rake! Ike went inside and took a nap after his "photo shoot" you can tell in the later pictures he is starting to look tired! Here is a sneak peak at some of the photo's I took of the boys! I took all these pictures with the intention of printing some for all the family and possibly our Christmas card...we will just have to wait & see!

Trick or Treat

Happy Halloween! We had two nights of "trick or treating!" In Sullivan county trick or treating took place on Thursday and Friday. On Thursday we stayed home and handed out candy and on Friday we ventured out to gather our own treats. Our town (only 280 people) has its own library - and every year Evelynn the librarian has a little Halloween party for the kids. They have someone telling stories, cookies, candy, cider and each child gets to pick a new book to take home with them. Ike choose an alphabet book - he got very excited when he saw the book because "MOMO" (Elmo) was on the cover. Ty picked The Little Engine That Could - he loved the train on the front cover. They each had a yummy cookie and got their picture taken! Then we headed out on the town to trick or treat! Ike even learned to say "TRICK OR TREAT!" Ty would knock on the door and the two of them would say "trick or treat!" we pulled them all around town in their wagon. They had so much fun! Ike now believes that he can get anything he wants by saying "Trick or Treat!" He will point at something look at you and say "Trick or Treat" with his little grin! :)

Baby Thompson's First Photo!

We had our first ultrasound on Friday! We were 12 weeks at the time of these pictures, still to early to detect the sex of the baby! But according to the tech there appears to be just 1 bun in this oven! So if you voted for twins it looks like that isn't the case this time. Unless the other one was just hiding. :) It's always fun to get to see the baby! I asked Zach when we left the doctor if he felt like it was a boy or a girl...he said boy...even though prior to the ultra sound he thought it was going to be a girl! He said "the ultrasound looked just like the other two and they were both boys." Now we have to remember that Zach didn't go to school to read sonograms. haha...we told the tech we already have 2 boys & she commented that this one's nose looked like a little girl! I am sure she was just saying that to keep our hopes up! haha...We would be just fine with another little Zach! We would almost have our our starting line up! :) What do you think by looking at the pictures? Does you vote change?

Finally! Here are a few pictures from our trip the the '08 fair. The boys & I met Katie & Clayton & Anne & Nolan.

Ike on a real John Deere Tractor!

Ty couldn't get enough of the John Deere! He had to sit on one!

Clayton even had a great time at the fair! He was so good just riding around in his stroller hanging out with the guys!

Ty & Ike enjoyed the Little Helping Hands on the Farm exibit they had! They got to do all they work on the farm and then at the end they had a cold milk to drink.

Ty loved getting up close with the animals...Ike wasn't to sure. He didnt want to be to close.

Ty loved the pony ride. He was waving at everyone and just couldn't stop smiling!

Picking Pumpkins!

Thank goodness for the local farmers! We drove just down the road and were able to pick as many pumpkins as we wanted. The farmers are sure good about sharing around here. It's all who you know. I think Ty and Ike left with about 20 pumpkins!

We're Expecting!

We are thrilled to announce that we are expecting are 3rd baby! Ty and Ike are excited as well. I am not sure that Ike really understands but Ty seems to! Ty thought that we were going to return his brother Ike to the baby store and pick out a new baby! He would miss Ike! After some explaining he now understands that we are going to keep Ikey and get another baby as well. Ty thinks he is getting a baby sister and he wants to paint her room pink! I hope he isn't disappointed if it turns out to be another brother! We will be happy either way! This pregnancy has been different that mine with Ty or Ike. I was lucky to not have all the morning sickness with the boys...but this time around I haven't been as lucky! And it doesn't just come in the morning! I am exhausted! If I am getting sick Ty & Ike will come running to check on me. Ike will sit down on my lap and Ty will pat my back and tell me not to worry, that everything will be OK and that he will take care of me! I am glad I have such caring boys!

Picking Strawberries

Ty and Ike went to pick strawberries for the first time this year! We went to Blann Berries in Oaktown, IN. The boys had a blast. Ike ate more berries then he added to the basket! He also enjoyed picking them and then sitting down right in the middle of the plants and squishing them as hard as he good between his little fingers! He was a mess - I should of know not to dress him in white! Ty also loved getting to eat the berries! He also liked noticing all of the different sizes and shapes of the berries! We had really big berries for Daddy and really tiny berries for his little brother Ikey!

Then we came home and made our very first batch of homemade strawberry jam! I have been taking up canning this year - so we canned our jam! It is sooo yummy!
